I’m Tyler Link, owner and contractor turned CEO. I’ve built up a $4 million concrete business. Because I've built my company to be able to handle most day - to - day tasks, my next goal in life is to help other concrete companies like you do the same or more.
In 2018, I started a concrete company with my father in law. We knew we wanted to be competitive with our pricing so we called our competition, asked for estimates and priced similarly. We put up a simple website and began generating leads and selling jobs.
From the outside, the business seemed like a huge success. We were constantly busy and the business was making over $1Million in revenue by year two. But in reality, we had no money left in the bank.
I was filled with stress and panic – Although we were priced slightly higher than cheap competitors, I knew I had to learn how to charge more to run a legit business. Yet if I raised my prices to increase profitability, I worried we wouldn’t be able to close any deals, and I wouldn't have work for my crews.
